yes just don't put those hats on them or tight clothes, just make sure they are comfortable.

My Yorkie's have an assortment of sweat-shirts, jackets, sweaters,and rain and hooded snow gear for the cold of late fall until the spring time. I have these items as they do not have an undercoat for protection and they are prone to bronchial/pneumonia problems. Not to mention that they are simply cold! I purchases them all over. Good old Wal-Mart has them for $5 up, Petsmart has great sales at end of season, Tuesday Morning has a pet selection; lot's of it on clearance, too. Many pet-shops carry a complete line of clothing, and there are many boutiques devoted to accessories and clothing for dogs. There are thousands of dog clothes for sale on line. That is fun…looking at all of the wonderful selections. I do not dress them up unless the weather calls for it, I have enough laundry to do without adding more. Oh, not to mention a good reason for protecting the long haired dog's coats is, more drying, brushing, and trying to get ice-balls out of the underarm and belly area. I don't think that it gets cold enough in Georgia to warrant a dog sweater. Talk to your vet first, and make sure that it won't be too hot for your little friend.

1) Use dryer sheets to prevent static cling on your clothes.
2) Brush your dogs regularly.
3) Get a lint roller to use on any fur that may still be around.

Well cats are much too independent to wear clothing that you the human has decided to put on them. They are either going to just lay there and look at you like you are crazy or they are going to freak and run through the house. Cats are not here to impress you, you are here to impress them. So save the clothes for your dogs, and don't make your cat miserable by putting clothes of him.

I have a 1.5 pound Yorkie and had trouble finding clothes small enough for her. Even xsmall is to big but I found a shop on ebay that is wonderful, check it out…

Provided she's living indoors, actually she will be fine with her natural coat – she will grow a thicker coat with the onset of Winter. And to be honest, if you give her a coat to wear indoors, you will, to some extent, stop this from happening naturally.

However, if you do want to put her in a coat, for outdoor walking particularly (I lived in Toronto for years, and know what you are talking about), try Ebay. I buy my Whippet coats on there – there are loads available and you might find Greyhound/Whippet coat companies also do coats for other breeds.

My Bassets coped fine with a Toronto Winter, without being 'rugged up'. We didn't go out on the worse, blizzard, days mind you.

It probably has something to do with location. I'm in Maryland, and they have all season apparel at the petsmart near me. They have raincoats, performance fleece, shirts and sweaters. Ask a store associate or call the corporate headquarters.
